Our treatment is based on our in-cell technology for rapid protein expression or gene inhibition on detection of a DNA sequence. The core of this technology is patent-pending worldwide via PCT applications at the WIPO.
There are several options for building businesses on top of this technology. For example:
Treatment of diseases caused by gene mutations in stem cells
Not all gene mutations lead to cancer. Gene mutations in stem cells are associated with many diseases. With our technology, the cells with the gene mutation can be targeted, which does not always mean that these cells have to be destroyed.
Ultra-targeted biopesticides
Locust infestation epidemics happen regularly around the world. The 2019-2021 locust infestation in Africa was the worst in 70 years in Kenya, and the worst in 25 years in Ethiopia, Somalia and India. In 2022 locust swarms destroyed crops in Sardinia, Europe. According to WFP, the costs due to these epidemics go into the billions.
Currently, these epidemics are controlled with traditional, chemical pesticides, because the biological pesticides act too late. However, the chemical pesticides are not good for the environment.
Biopesticides based on our technology act faster than other biopesticides, and by targeting locust-specific DNA sequences, can be designed to be harmless for the enviroment.
